SingPositive (www.singpositive.org) is a family-friendly community musical group, formed in 2012, loosely based on the model  of the Family Folk Chorale (Arlington). Last semester members were 50 adults, and 30 children ages 0-13. We provide experiential musical education for families, create community connections, and musically support social justice causes, through our rehearsals & performances. The group performs mainly house arrangements of world, rock, pop, & folk music– both with and without accompanying band. Repertoire is generally chosen collaboratively by the members (including kids) and the conductors, with a focus on social justice songs.
Pay will vary depending on experience, skills and duties undertaken, but will likely be in the range of $100-$200/rehearsal (weekly) + $25/admin meeting (every 2 weeks). Please send a few of your thoughts about our project, a resume, and audio or preferably video of yourself leading a group (give context: what level are the performers, etc) to: [email protected]
